Rein Ciarfella of Rein's Real Baking bakes artisan breads and pastries out of his home kitchen in Waquoit. He sells at farmer's markets, events and his Roadstand in East Falmouth on Rt. 28 in front of Oysters Too on Saturday mornings in the Summer.
Rein's Real Baking was established in 2010, although it was originally called Rein's Real Rye and then Rein's Real Bread before settling on the current name, which most correctly represents what I do.
I lived on Caraway Rye bread my first year in England, 1973/74. 37 years later I tried to duplicate it simply for my own consumption. 6 months and 60 test bakes later I nailed it and friends were asking where they could buy it. The Falmouth Farmer's Market tasted it and asked me to join on the spot!
I'm completely self-taught and at 120 different bread and pastry product the lineup continues to grow constantly, all produced out of my 1970's-era kitchen with my old Whirlpool electric oven and a Hobart 20-quart commercial mixer.
I bake year round, selling at the farmer's markets, special events, craft shows and my Roadstand at Oyster's Too and Mahoney's Garden Center, Rt. 28 E. Falmouth, Saturdays 9-1 during the Summer. I ship and can deliver locally.
I have no storefront and do not wholesale (preferring instead to sell directly to the customer), i.e. not sold in any stores.
